ASM SMT Solutions

ASM SMT Solutions is a business segment in the ASM Pacific Technology (ASM PT) Group and bundles the Group's worldwide SMT business. Our mission is to develop networked, integrated solutions for SMT manufacturing, to implement them at electronics manufacturers worldwide, and to support them.

ASM SMT Solutions has its own plants in Germany, Great Britain and Singapore. ASM SMT Solutions became the world's largest supplier of SMT equipment for the first time in 2015.

ASM solutions such as SIPLACE placement systems and DEK printer platforms support the networking, optimization and automation of central workflows at line and factory level with hardware, software and services, thus enabling electronics manufacturers to make a step-by-step transition to the Smart Integrated SMT Factory with dramatic improvements in key figures/KPIs for productivity, flexibility and quality.

ASM develops solutions in close cooperation with customers and partners. For example, ASM initiated the SMT Smart Network as a global competence network for the active exchange of experience among smart champions. ASM is co-founder of the joint venture ADAMOS for the development of a IIoT platform for manufacturing companies and together with other SMT manufacturers establishes the open standard IPC-HERMES-9852 as SMEMA successor for M2M communication in SMT lines.
